I have the game and steam on one M2ssd so it goes fast to patch.įor this patch to work for me I had to manuall delete the game and install it again, even if I had already removed the Aslan mod pack Pehaps it may have some to do whit the size WG uses for the packages perhaps? Why Steam takes this time whit this game do I dont know, but I dont have this issues whit other games at all. I can't promise you there's nothing WG could do to make this process faster, but I can promise you, since nothing HAS been done. Some while ago people were reporting 40 GB updates on Steam and the one I got on the WG client was 2.2GB or something of that nature.Īnd yes, other games that are written to work with Steam in mind do patch better. The WG client has patches that are usually less than half the size and update far faster. I used to run both the WG client and Steam just so I could see what was going on, but the work-around for using an old account with Steam quit working so I can't use it any longer. I can't tell you precisely what that is, only that there very obviously is one. a process that takes far more time because of some inefficiency between WoWS and Steam. The most time consuming part is installing the update. Any decent high speed connection will download a few GB in short order. I have a 220 mbit line which translates to about 26 MB/sec download, and for where I live is medium speed I suppose. This is more or less the only game I have download issues whit on steam and I have around 70 of them. Few minutes? Do you have gazillions of download speed? I can't really imagine they would take the time and effort to TRY to make their software dislike Steam.
